We are really excited to be back at our local yarn show on 15th and 16th March. East Anglia Yarn Festival is now in its fourth year and takes place at the Norfolk Showground Arena. Last year there were over eighty stalls, selling everything from hand dyed yarn to buttons and bags. I am really […]
We had a wonderful weekend at Little Hall in Lavenham. It is such a beautiful venue and totally appropriate as it was originally a wool merchant’s house. We met lots of lovely Christmas shoppers and some really inspiring local crafters. Over the next two weekends – 14th/15th and 21st/22nd December – we will be at […]
We are going to be in Lavenham on the 23rd and 24th November at Little Hall. This is a wonderful venue right in the heart of Lavenham, and is one of the oldest buildings in this historic town. As such it houses a museum, which on its own would be a good reason to visit! […]
I am very very excited that we will be exhibiting at Yarndale this year. It also happens to fall on my birthday weekend, the 28th and 29th September. We will be travelling up to Skipton Auction Mart with our range of alpaca and shetland sheep wools. Also, felted soaps, handwoven scarves, knitted and crochet hats, […]
Phew, what a weekend! I am still feeling slightly overwhelmed with the sheer amount of beautiful yarn on display at this year’s East Anglia Yarn Festival. It was our first time exhibiting and I think it is fair to say we have found our happy place. Over 80 stalls appeared as if by magic in […]
28th January 2023 We had a fabulous time when we joined an enthusiastic band of crafters for Craft & Create at Essex Young Farmers Club Centre. Everyone was celebrating the joys of working with alpaca fibre. It was one of the first in person events that Eastern Alpaca Group had hosted since lockdown and we […]
We are extremely excited that we came home with first and second place rosettes from this years’ British Alpaca Society National Show. The show took place at Telford International Centre over the weekend of 26th/27th March. Around 600 alpacas were gathered together from across Britain so it was an alpaca lovers heaven! Our boys are […]
For the past couple of weeks we have been busy getting ready for the British Alpaca Society National Show. This year we have a trade stand and will be selling our felted soaps and a range of handmade accessories. The annual halter show is the largest gathering of alpacas and their owners in the country. […]
In the weakening autumn sun, I have set the loom up for the first time in ages. The soft aran weight Shetland has, as always, worked beautifully in the warp. I am about to load the shuttle with some lovely oatmeal coloured alpaca from our two boys Ben and Dumbledore. It is a beautiful day! 🙂
